CheQ has partnered with AU Small Finance Bank to introduce an LED-enabled co-branded credit card, adding a new feature to India’s digital payments landscape. The CheQ AU Credit Card combines payment technology with a unified rewards ecosystem aimed at simplifying everyday spending.
A key feature of the card is its embedded LED, which lights up during tap-to-pay transactions. Powered by the POS terminal’s NFC field, the LED provides instant visual confirmation without requiring a battery, enabling a more intuitive payment experience.
The launch marks CheQ’s expansion from a credit card bill payment platform into the card issuance ecosystem. Built on insights from over 15 million credit cards and 4 million users, the offering addresses challenges such as fragmented rewards and complex redemption processes.
Speaking on the launch, Aditya Soni, Founder and CEO, CheQ, said the initiative is focused on addressing real user problems, adding that the LED feature is part of a broader effort to make credit usage more transparent and user-friendly. Sanjay Agarwal, Founder and CEO, AU Small Finance Bank, said the partnership aligns with the bank’s focus on innovation and delivering solutions for digitally inclined customers.
The card offers a unified rewards system through CheQ Points, enabling redemption across categories such as travel, shopping, and bill payments. It also supports dual networks—Visa for global transactions and RuPay for UPI payments, allowing usage across multiple payment scenarios.
