Paytm has launched India’s first AI-powered Soundbox for payments, introducing a revolutionary business device designed to assist small and medium enterprises with real-time insights and intelligent financial management.
The launch took place at the Global Fintech Festival (GFF), where Paytm demonstrated how artificial intelligence can enhance daily merchant operations.
The Paytm AI Soundbox transforms the traditional payment alert device into an AI-powered business assistant that provides instant summaries, business intelligence, and performance insights in 11 local languages. It operates on 4G and WiFi networks and supports dynamic QR, tap, and insert card transactions. Additionally, it includes a fair use AI token subscription, where additional AI usage could be billed later.
Built on an Android-based system, the Soundbox features dual displays—a front touchscreen for interaction and a top display for quick updates. It allows merchants to manage collections, receive key payment alerts, and access insights seamlessly through both voice and screen.
The device’s design caters to varied retail environments, from local stores to cafés and supermarkets, ensuring smooth operations with stable connectivity indoors and robust 4G performance in outdoor or high-traffic locations.
