Mindgate Solutions and J.P. Morgan Payments have expanded their collaboration with the deployment of a next-generation UPI infrastructure designed to support real-time collections and payouts for J.P. Morgan Payments’ corporate and merchant clients in India.
Announced at Global Fintech Fest 2026, the initiative builds on an existing engagement for Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) transactions running on Mindgate’s platform and extends the collaboration to UPI.
The new infrastructure is powered by Mindgate’s Unified Digital Payment Hub (UDPH), a cloud-based payments platform designed to support high-volume and reliable real-time payment processing. The platform is built to adapt to changing market and client requirements while enabling the rapid deployment of new payment capabilities.
Through the infrastructure, J.P. Morgan Payments will support high-volume payment flows for corporate and merchant clients, including instant collections through QR, Intent and UPI Autopay use cases.
George Sam, Co-founder & Business Head, Mindgate Solutions, said UPI has become central to India’s payments ecosystem and that the collaboration reflects the company’s role in helping global payments businesses operate within the country’s real-time payments environment.
Guhan Muthuswamy, Co-founder & Software Architect, Mindgate Solutions, said the infrastructure was designed to address the scale and transaction velocity associated with UPI. He added that the architecture incorporates real-time regulatory checks and mechanisms to isolate and recover from failures, enabling mission-critical payment volumes to be managed reliably.
Guhaprasath Rajagopal, Head of India Payments, J.P. Morgan Payments, said the deployment marks an important milestone in the company’s India payments strategy. He added that combining local payment rails such as UPI and IMPS with J.P. Morgan Payments’ global network will help clients manage collections, disbursements and cash flows more efficiently.
The collaboration also supports cross-border payment capabilities, including inward remittances through Rupee Drawing Arrangement corridors, while providing clients with globally consistent APIs.
The partnership reinforces J.P. Morgan’s focus on delivering integrated payment solutions at scale and Mindgate’s role as a technology provider supporting the development of real-time payment infrastructure.
J.P. Morgan Payments combines treasury services, trade and working capital, blockchain and tokenisation, and card and merchant services. It processes nearly USD 12 trillion in payments daily across more than 160 countries and over 120 currencies.
