KFintech unveils ARYA to enable AI-powered mutual fund transactions

KFin Technologies Limited has announced enhanced details of ARYA, its next-generation conversational intelligence and investor servicing platform designed to simplify mutual fund interactions through AI.

ARYA brings portfolio analysis, scheme discovery and transaction execution into a single conversational interface, allowing investors to move from asking questions and understanding their investments to analysing portfolios and taking action through natural language.

The platform is designed to serve investors, distributors and asset management company (AMC) servicing teams. It will be available through AMC deployments as well as KFintech’s own investor and distributor portals.

A key differentiator of ARYA is its focus on combining AI-driven conversations with deterministic compliance controls. While Small Language Models handle natural language interactions, transaction-related decisions are governed by software-based compliance mechanisms rather than probabilistic AI outputs.

Additional lump-sum purchases and SIP registrations are currently undergoing live testing. The platform’s compliance engine incorporates mandatory OTP-based identity verification, PAN masking and automated eligibility checks before a transaction is executed on the system of record.

KFintech plans to expand ARYA’s transaction capabilities to include redemptions, fund switches, Systematic Transfer Plans (STP) and Systematic Withdrawal Plans (SWP) under the same controlled architecture.

Where ARYA is deployed for KFintech-serviced AMCs, transactions can be executed directly through the underlying RTA infrastructure, providing real-time auditability and maintaining data integrity throughout the process.

The platform is also designed to address operational challenges faced by the mutual fund industry, including high servicing volumes, fragmented investor journeys and the risks associated with AI-generated calculations. ARYA programmatically calculates metrics such as XIRR, asset allocation and rebalancing rather than relying on language models to generate financial figures.

Nazish Mir, Chief Technology Officer, KFintech, said the next phase of financial AI will move beyond answering investor questions towards enabling secure and auditable actions. He highlighted ARYA’s deterministic compliance architecture as a way to allow investors to analyse portfolios and execute transactions in natural language while ensuring that applicable rules are checked and transactions are securely recorded.

ARYA also incorporates a privacy-focused architecture, with investor data processed within KFintech-controlled infrastructure in India rather than through a third-party AI cloud in the serving path. This design is intended to support data-residency expectations under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework.

The platform can analyse consolidated mutual fund portfolios through Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) uploads, enabling investors to assess and benchmark holdings across AMCs. At the same time, direct transaction execution is available for KFintech-serviced AMCs.

KFintech has also built evaluation mechanisms around ARYA’s underlying knowledge corpus, including human-reviewed documents, consistency checks and release-level evaluation gates designed to reduce the risk of outdated or conflicting information reaching users.

Proof-of-concept testing completed in July 2026 with leading asset managers recorded approximately 90 per cent fact accuracy, while retrieval latency reached sub-second performance with a p95 of around 0.7 seconds. The evaluation also recorded a 100 per cent refusal rate for out-of-scope questions and reproducible responses under the tested configuration.

ARYA is scheduled to be launched at the Global Fintech Fest on September 10, 2026, followed by a phased rollout through KFintech’s investor and distributor platforms and deployments within AMC environments.

The roadmap includes additional capabilities such as non-commercial transactions, WhatsApp integration, voice interaction, multilingual support and adapters for NPS and wealth servicing.

Through ARYA, KFintech is positioning conversational AI not simply as a customer-service layer, but as an AI-enabled transaction and servicing infrastructure designed to combine natural language convenience with compliance, data protection and auditable financial execution.
