KFin Technologies Limited (KFintech) has announced the rollout of Klarity, an enterprise-grade Agentic AI solution designed to address signature fraud and wrongful rejection risks across financial operations.
Klarity focuses on two key challenges faced by financial institutions: sophisticated forged signatures being accepted as genuine and legitimate signatures being rejected due to natural variations in handwriting. These risks can lead to fraud losses, legal exposure, customer churn, delayed transactions and administrative rework.
The solution combines biometrics, automated workflow orchestration and human-in-the-loop governance. Its algorithms analyse micro-stroke dynamics such as stroke stress, pen pressure variation, curvature velocity, entry and exit stroke angles and baseline tremors. This enables Klarity to identify sophisticated forgeries while recognising genuine signatures affected by natural changes over time.
Klarity is integrated with KFintech’s fraud detection platform, KFin Shield, and is designed to support capital markets and the wider BFSI sector.
The solution also extends into Registrar and Issuer Services (RIS) and Demat operations. Its applications include off-market share transfers, transmission of securities, Demat instruction slips, debit instruction validation, and address or bank mandate modifications.
Praveen Shankaran, Chief Operating Officer (Domestic Fund Services), KFintech, said financial institutions need enterprise solutions that address complex business problems rather than standalone AI tools. He added that Klarity combines algorithmic intelligence with operational expertise to address the risks of undetected forgery and wrongful rejection while extending protection across RIS and Demat operations.
For AMCs, Depository Participants and corporate issuers, Klarity is designed to reduce financial exposure from fraudulent folio redemptions, forged Demat transfers and fraudulent share transmissions. It also aims to reduce customer churn resulting from unwarranted transaction rejections.
For operations and compliance teams, the solution provides mathematical confidence scores and pixel-level heatmaps highlighting stroke stress and alignment anomalies for audit purposes. KFintech said Klarity can automate up to 90 per cent of straight-through processing while routing genuine edge cases to human experts with full decision context.
For retail investors and Demat account holders, the solution is designed to accommodate natural handwriting variations, helping genuine mandates, redemptions and transfers move forward while strengthening protection for capital market holdings and Demat assets.
KFintech said the launch reinforces its focus on strengthening trust and security across India’s capital markets infrastructure as digital adoption and transaction volumes continue to rise.
