The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has inaugurated its new Mumbai Regional Office and Branch Office at Dadar West, aiming to address the growing financial needs of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Mumbai and the surrounding regions.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Manoj Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, SIDBI, and attended by key figures, including Prakash Kumar, Deputy Managing Director, and Nandan Khambete, Thane Small Scale Industries Association.
The Mumbai Branch is a strategic initiative by SIDBI to enhance credit flow and financial assistance to MSMEs, thereby supporting their growth and contribution to India’s economic development. A fully digital lending process has been adopted to ensure timely and adequate credit delivery and allow for the disbursement of financial assistance within 48 hours of approval.
During the event, sanction letters for term loans ranging from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 crore were issued, enabling micro and small enterprises to invest in plant and machinery and expand or modernise their units.
The new office will collaborate with industry associations and stakeholders with the aim of significantly increasing its customer base and loan disbursement volumes in the region. Apart from providing credit, the branch will also focus on delivering development support, particularly for entrepreneurs seeking sustainable growth opportunities.
The inauguration event was attended by approximately 100 MSMEs and representatives from industry associations, reflecting SIDBI’s critical role in supporting enterprise growth and sustainability.
The branch is situated on the third floor of the Park Plaza building on VS Agashe Road, Dadar West, and is expected to serve as a trusted partner for MSMEs in Mumbai and nearby areas.
