Mount Nagrik Sahakari Bank strengthens cybersecurity awareness

Mount Nagrik Sahakari Bank Ltd., formerly known as Adarsh Co-operative Bank Ltd., has conducted a series of cybersecurity awareness sessions across its branches to educate customers about the rising threat of digital fraud and promote safe banking practices.

The initiative was led by Managing Director Narendra Singh Dabi as part of the bank’s efforts to strengthen customer awareness around secure digital banking.

During the sessions, customers were informed about common cyber threats, including phishing, vishing, screen-sharing scams, deepfake fraud and SIM-swapping attacks. Bank officials also shared practical safety measures, advising customers not to disclose their PINs or OTPs, avoid sharing confidential information on social media, refrain from conducting financial transactions over public Wi-Fi networks, enable transaction limits and security alerts, and download only official banking applications.

The workshops also featured interactive discussions, allowing customers to raise queries related to cybersecurity and digital banking. The awareness campaign reflects the bank’s focus on enhancing customer preparedness against evolving cyber risks while encouraging the safe use of digital financial services.
