CredResolve has raised a Pre Series A round led by Merak Ventures, with participation from existing investors Unleash Capital Partners and CDM Capital.
The company, which currently manages over $6 billion in assets across more than 40 lenders and operates in 10 states, plans to use the capital to expand to 15 states, enhance its multilingual AI and voice capabilities, and develop a self-serve platform for lenders.
The fundraise comes at a crucial stage for India’s credit ecosystem, where over Rs 5 lakh crore in stressed assets remains tied to fragmented and largely manual collection systems. Traditional models often lack transparency, rely on limited technology, and face growing regulatory constraints, creating demand for more compliant and efficient alternatives.
CredResolve’s platform integrates AI voice bots, digital communication channels, field agent networks, and legal automation into a single infrastructure. By operating the full stack rather than offering only software, the company provides lenders with real-time visibility into recovery performance and shifts the focus from activity-based tracking to outcome-driven accountability.
Balaji Koustubha, Co-founder and CEO, highlighted that the company aims to replace fragmented and opaque systems with scalable AI-driven infrastructure combined with accountable field operations.
Manu Rikhye, Founding Partner, Merak Ventures, noted that the gap between credit growth and recovery infrastructure presents both a systemic risk and a significant opportunity, positioning CredResolve to play a foundational role in the ecosystem.
Natsuki Sugai, Managing Partner, Unleash Capital, added that the company has exceeded early expectations and is well positioned to expand its reach and accelerate growth.
Founded by IIT Roorkee alumni Balaji Koustubha and Vijay Kumar, CredResolve combines technology with on-ground execution, shaped by their experience in operationally intensive industries. The company is now focusing on expanding its AI capabilities and building scalable systems to support a wider network of lenders across India.
