ZET has received approval from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) for its Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP) licence, marking its entry into the UPI ecosystem.
With this approval, ZET has launched ZET UPI, allowing existing and new ZET Credit Card users to make UPI payments using their RuPay credit cards. The move integrates everyday UPI transactions with credit-building and rewards, enabling users to earn benefits while strengthening their credit profiles.
ZET Credit Card users with an active ZET Plus subscription will earn a flat 2% cashback on all ZET UPI transactions, along with additional rewards and benefits offered under the subscription. By leveraging RuPay’s UPI-on-credit-card functionality, ZET brings together UPI convenience and credit card rewards on a single platform.
The launch aligns with ZET’s broader mission to expand credit access for India’s nearly 400 million credit-invisible adults, helping them build a 750+ credit score through secured credit cards. By extending credit usage to routine UPI payments, ZET enables users to build and maintain creditworthiness through everyday spending.
Commenting on the launch, Yash Desai, Co-founder, ZET, said, “UPI has become the default way Indians transact every day, and NPCI has played a central role in making the experience reliable and accessible. Our focus is to meet users where they already are and help them build healthy credit habits without changing how they pay. ZET UPI fits seamlessly into daily life while supporting a disciplined and transparent credit journey.”
ZET’s UPI ecosystem is powered by Juspay’s technology stack and enabled through a partnership with RBL Bank. The company continues to witness rapid user growth, with monthly growth rates consistently doubling.
The introduction of ZET UPI strengthens the platform’s value proposition by combining daily digital payments with credit-building and rewards. As digital payments evolve, ZET remains focused on creating intuitive, responsible and accessible credit solutions for first-time and underserved users across India.
