Wipro launches GIFT City Hub to boost AI-led BFSI transformation

Wipro Limited has announced the launch of a new hub at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar, marking a significant step in enhancing its capabilities to serve global Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) clients.

Wipro’s expansion into GIFT City establishes a foundation to accelerate the development of next-generation, consulting-led and AI-first financial services capabilities. Aligned with Wipro Intelligence™, the company’s unified suite of AI-powered platforms and solutions, the hub will support advanced offerings across digital banking, capital markets, regulatory technology, risk and compliance, and core platform modernisation.

The centre is designed to strengthen Wipro’s ability to co-innovate with clients, embed responsible AI into critical financial workflows, and scale secure, domain-led platforms to meet increasing global demand for AI-driven BFSI transformation.

“GIFT City-IFSC is fast emerging as a global financial and technology hub, attracting leading enterprises from around the world,” said Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghavi.

He added, “Wipro’s new centre in GIFT City reflects Gujarat’s growing prominence as a destination for innovation and high-value digital capabilities. The state remains committed to enabling global organisations with the infrastructure, policy support and talent ecosystem needed to scale.”

Sanjeev Jain, Chief Operating Officer, Wipro Limited, said, “Wipro’s presence at GIFT City is a strategic investment to scale the impact of Wipro Intelligence™ for the global BFSI industry. By combining our consulting-led, AI-powered transformation and delivery capabilities with deep domain expertise and a strong innovation culture within a high-quality talent ecosystem, we are enabling deeper client engagement and long-term value creation. This expansion also reinforces our commitment to collaborate with the Government of Gujarat as we build future-ready capabilities that support sustainable growth.”

The hub will initially offer 150 ready-to-deploy seats, with the flexibility to scale up to 500 seats based on client demand. It also reinforces Wipro’s focus on developing local talent in Gujarat’s growing IT ecosystem, leveraging access to a strong graduate talent pool to meet evolving industry requirements.
