Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has inaugurated the new Head Office building of Abhinandan Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. in Amravati, marking a major milestone in the bank’s growth and expansion journey.
The ceremony included the unveiling of the stone plaque for the new headquarters, which stands as a testament to the bank’s consistent performance and growing presence in the cooperative banking sector. With over 10 branches successfully operating across the region, the new facility represents Abhinandan Urban Co-op Bank’s commitment to operational excellence and community-focused financial services.
Speaking at the event, Fadnavis lauded the contribution of urban cooperative banks in fostering local economic growth and financial inclusion. He emphasised the sector’s importance in empowering small businesses, rural communities, and self-help groups across Maharashtra.
Highlighting the government’s support for the cooperative movement, the Chief Minister noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi established a dedicated Ministry of Cooperation, led by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, to bring about structural reforms and strengthen the cooperative ecosystem nationwide.
The event was attended by Minister of State Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, local MLAs, and several dignitaries from the cooperative and banking sectors, who commended the bank’s achievements and its growing role as a model institution within Maharashtra’s cooperative landscape.
