Government amends interest rates for small saving schemes for Q3

The government yesterday amended the interest rates for small savings plans for the third quarter of the current fiscal year beginning on 1^st October, 2023. The five-year recurring deposit will now earn 6.7 percent interest, up from the previous rate of 6.5 percent, Finance Ministry notified.

All other small savings plans continue to give the same rate of interest as they did from July to September.
