Ajith Kumar KK has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dhanlaxmi Bank. In a regulatory filing, the appointment of Kumar KK was announced with a tenure for three years starting from 20th June, 2024.
The Kerala-based bank’s board has approved his appointment subject to shareholders’ approval as per Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI regulations. Following Dhanlaxmi bank’s proposal of his name, RBI too approved Kumar KK’s name in April.
Kumar KK from Kochi is in the banking profession with more than 36 years of experience at the Federal Bank in various strands of the industry, including the role of Credit, Human Resources, Business, Branch Banking, etc.
Previously, he served as President and Chief Human Officer for Federal Bank. Kumar KK replaced JK Shivan who served more than his tenure as RBI asked Shivan to continue till his successor assumed charges.
