Intellect launches MSOCK to bring enterprise context to AI engineering

Intellect Design Arena Ltd. has launched MSOCK (Multidimensional Multilayer System of Connected Knowledge), an AI-native engineering system designed to help financial institutions provide enterprise context to AI systems and improve the accuracy of software development and remediation.

The company unveiled MSOCK as a new knowledge infrastructure for enterprises using AI from platforms such as Anthropic and OpenAI. Intellect has filed 39 patents relating to the technology.

MSOCK is designed to make enterprise knowledge connected, computable and visual by linking information across business, operations, compliance and technology. The system aims to help AI understand business intent, institutional knowledge, architectural dependencies and the potential impact of changes before taking action.

Intellect said the technology addresses a key challenge in enterprise AI adoption: while AI can generate code, it does not inherently understand the enterprise environment in which that code needs to operate. Enterprise knowledge is often distributed across codebases, databases, APIs, documents and institutional knowledge held by people.

The system connects business rules and processes with APIs and code through a 21-dimensional Enterprise Spatial Graph. It organises these assets into Connected Knowledge Units, providing AI systems with an evidence-backed view of the enterprise software estate.

MSOCK brings together five interconnected capabilities. The System of Connected Knowledge (SOCK) creates an evidence-backed understanding of a defined software estate, while the 21-Dimensional Enterprise Spatial Graph provides multiple views across business journeys, processes, applications, APIs and implementation evidence.

Its Precise Blast Radius capability assesses what a proposed change or failure could affect, while four engineering machines are designed to apply reusable intelligence across the software lifecycle to BUILD, RUN, CHANGE and MODERNISE. The Command Centre provides observation, management, control, oversight and compliance for near-autonomous engineering.

“Over the last several months, our Applied AI Research Lab has been examining a fundamental question: if AI can write code, why hasn’t an eleven-month transformation become a six-month transformation? The answer is understanding. AI is extraordinarily capable, but it does not inherently understand the enterprise: why a rule exists, what depends on a service, or what could break when something changes,” said Arun Jain, Founder & Chairman, Intellect Design Arena and Chief Architect, Purple Fabric.

“MSOCK was built to solve that problem. Just as RDBMS made enterprise data structured and queryable, MSOCK makes enterprise knowledge connected and computable. It gives AI the context to understand before it acts. This is the foundation for moving from coding-led engineering to cognitive engineering, and ultimately towards truly AI-native enterprise transformation,” he added.

Intellect said MSOCK is designed to work alongside existing AI investments rather than replace them. Enterprises can continue using their foundation models, copilots, AI agents, engineering tools and AI-driven development pipelines, while MSOCK provides the enterprise and architectural context required to operate on mission-critical systems.

The company has engineered MSOCK for banks and financial institutions, FinTech product companies, Global Capability Centres, capital markets, financial advisories and insurance carriers. Intellect said the approach is particularly relevant to financial services, where technology environments are highly interconnected and regulated, and changes to one system can affect customer journeys, products, operations and regulatory obligations.

As part of the launch, Intellect has also introduced a three-week open challenge for financial institutions. Organisations can bring a complex application module to Intellect, after which MSOCK will map the application and its connected knowledge. The exercise is intended to demonstrate how the technology can identify dependencies and determine the potential impact of a proposed change before code is modified.

Intellect said MSOCK represents a shift from coding-led software engineering towards cognitive engineering, with enterprise knowledge forming the foundation for AI-native transformation. The company currently serves more than 500 customers across 62 countries across financial technology segments including banking, insurance, capital markets, wealth and central banking.
