Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) has partnered with Rugr FinTech and Fin Meadows Technologies to enhance its UPI acquiring and switching infrastructure, strengthening its digital payments ecosystem across India.
Under the collaboration, TMB will leverage its hosted UPI Switch platform, TechFini, to enable RBI-licensed payment aggregators, fintechs, NBFCs and merchants to route UPI transactions through a secure, scalable and compliant banking framework. The initiative is aimed at improving transaction success rates while meeting evolving regulatory requirements.
The partnership with Rugr FinTech focuses on onboarding authorised payment aggregators for merchant UPI collections, while Fin Meadows Technologies will support UPI switching, issuing, acquiring and UPI Autopay use cases. The TechFini platform also enables automated loan repayments and collections for lenders through UPI mandates, helping improve repayment discipline and operational efficiency.
With a cloud-native architecture capable of processing high transaction volumes, the collaboration positions TMB to support next-generation UPI innovations while expanding digital payment access for businesses nationwide.
